PROJECT NARATIVE

Cadence Architecture was engaged to design a custom home for a couple of empty nesters with an amazing site near Charlottesville, VA. The forested homesite has a beautiful view of a hillside sloping down to a creek below. Additionally our client is an avid furniture maker and we wanted to incorporate as much nature as possible. This is evident in the expansive glass elements looking into the ravine, a “jagged” roofline resembling live edge furniture design, and a second story tree-house.
