“…architecture with respect to: the client’s goals; the surrounding environment; and the human interaction.”
Chris Hudson joined Cadence Architecture, PC as a principal designer in September 2018. He became co-owner in February 2019. Chris provides architectural services for south west Virginia through the Roanoke office.
His credentials include an Associate in Applied Science Degree in Architectural and Construction Technology from Virginia Western Community College and a Bachelor of Architecture Degree from Virginia Tech. For over 23 years he was the senior designer for a well-respected and award-winning design/build firm in Blacksburg Virginia, Shelter Alternatives, Inc.. Motivated by creatively helping clients realize their dreams through a respectful, comprehensive, enjoyable and collaborative process, Chris’s portfolio includes many successful and unique projects.
In the past, Chris and his wife Lee, raised two beautiful daughters, Sally and Anna; cultivated organically grown vegetables; hiked; biked, played in the creeks, and hosted many memorable gatherings while living on a horse farm in Shawsville VA. Chris, Lee and their collie Samuel, now live in Roanoke VA at the circa 1901 home where he grew up. At this point: remodeling their home and cultivating Cadence Architecture is almost all he’s doing…and loving it.
Chris’s father was an Architectural Designer. Inspired by his dad’s floor plan drawings, Chris as a seven-year-old, drew a line on all the walls of all the rooms of their home - his father (and mother) was not impressed.
